7:00 - 7:45pm | Media Silo product demo with Kai Pradel
Kai Pradel, MediaSilos lead Silo Head, walks us through his online suite of video tools which streamline video workflow
in production and corporate environments. If you havent heard of it before, MediaSilo is an online platform for collaboration, content management
and web broadcast, MediaSilo empowers users in managing video assets online, anywhere, anytime. Connect with clients, crew or executives for feedback
and approvals. Cast your next project in half the time at a fraction of the cost. Upload dailies for approval, easily find that perfect shot, archive your content
for online review or even launch your own online channel with native format download. Kai will also teach us how to master metadata from afar with MediaSilos
powerful asset management tools. Come see why MediaSilo is "video content made easy."
Kai Pradel is an experienced Internet entrepreneur, offering a rare blend of creative and operational strengths that combine a software engineering background with a
knack for business. As co-founder of College Publisher, a Web-based ASP serving college newspapers, Kai acted as CTO/Director of Product Development.
In 2000, he sold the company to Y2M: Youth Media and Marketing Networks; the company has since been purchased by Viacom, where the network of 500 college
newspapers using College Publisher has become a key asset for MTVs college channel, mtvU.
Kais entrepreneurial spirit then led him to found Productorials, Inc., a marketing services agency creating innovative online video campaigns focused on
customer communication, education and conversion. Most recently, Kai has developed MediaSilo, an online video collaboration service. As president and founder
of MediaSilo, he is focused on penetrating the online video market and developing new technologies to improve workflow for both content creators and owners.
8:00 - 9:00pm | FCP to Avid Workflow with Chris Fournelle
With the advent of a very mature NLE marketplace, it is no longer certain that an edit will proceed from offline to online with the same
non-linear platform. Chris Fournelle, Post Production Director at FRONTLINEs OutPost finishing facility, presents their workflow for "Boogie Man:
The Lee Atwater Story". This Final Cut Pro project with file-based 24p acquisition, tape-based 30i stock footage, and FCP based graphics was finished at
OutPost in an Avid online environment on a short turnaround. Chris will talk about the methods they used and some of the lessons learned in the process.
Chris Fournelle is the Post Production Director for the PBS weekly public affairs documentary series, FRONTLINE, based at WGBH in Boston, Massachusetts.
Chris oversees the day to day post operations for FRONTLINE and manages Outposts facility operations and their finishing services for a diverse client base
that delivers programming to PBS and other major distribution networks.
9:00pm - 9:15pm | Raffle
